La plupart des loyers restent pourtant hors de port\u00e9e de nombreux m\u00e9nages et l\u2019accession \u00e0 la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 encore plus.<\/p>\n<p>Le programme de recherche en politiques sociales de l\u2019IRPP s\u2019est concentr\u00e9 sur l\u2019abordabilit\u00e9 du logement en tant que besoin fondamental. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement s\u2019inscrit dans le prolongement de ces travaux et explore les th\u00e8mes qui se recoupent dans les recherches de Carolyn Whitzman, notamment dans sa publication <em>Homeward Bound :<\/em> <em>How to Create Deeply Affordable Housing<\/em> et son nouveau livre <em>Home Truths :<\/em> <em>Fixing Canada\u2019s Housing Crisis<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Mme Whitzman a pass\u00e9 en revue les politiques qui ont conduit \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sente crise du logement et a examin\u00e9 comment les nouveaux efforts du gouvernement peuvent donner la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 des logements tr\u00e8s abordables pour les Canadiens qui en ont le plus besoin.
