Bernard Descôteaux has been president of the Centre d’études sur les médias (CEM) since 2017. He worked at Le Devoir for more than 40 years, where he began as a reporter, then became a parliamentary correspondent in Quebec City and Ottawa, and then editor-in-chief. From 1999 to 2016, he led the newspaper as its director.
