John Cutfeet was band councillor for Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug (KI) First Nation, Ontario, with responsibility for lands and environment, from 1999 to 2007. He is currently VP of Communications for Wataynikaneyap Power, and he works with the Wildlands League and Indigenous communities on watershed protection. He is freelance simultaneous translator.
