The 5 à 7 events, hosted by the IRPP, are an opportunity for young Montrealers interested in important policy issues to exchange ideas with public policy experts in a friendly setting.

The federal government has committed to investing almost a billion dollars over five years in five supercluster initiatives in order to encourage collaboration among businesses, universities and research organizations in sectors with high growth potential. A supercluster ─ SCALE AI ─ has recently been established in Montreal in order to maximize the adoption of artificial intelligence technology and boost Canada’s industrial performance.

How can the effectiveness of these superclusters be optimized? How might they contribute to the strengthening of innovation ecosystems? And how will Montreal, and the province of Quebec, benefit from this initiative?

Catherine Beaudry (Polytechnique Montréal), Pascal Beauchesne (Arche Innovation), and moderator Ariane Krol (La Presse) explored these questions and more at our 5 à 7 at Pub L’Île Noire in Montreal.
